Austin's art project got selected to be in the art Gala for his school!!! They selected 5 kids from each class and he was one of them! The Art Gala was yesterday and he was so proud to show us his drawing!!! YAY Austin!

8 is Great!!
I know, I know.. I have been a very bad mommy/blogger:(
miss Kayla turned eight months two weeks ago, and Im just now posting about it!..
It had just been a rough a couple of weeks with both her and I being a little under the weather. We are both feeling a lot better, however I noticed last night Kayla started grabbing her left ear,so I took her to the Doc again this morning. I needed to go for a follow up anyway.Well her cold/cough is completely gone which is a great thing,but now she has an ear infection!!! I honestly feel horrible for my little munchkin, she has had a rough couple of weeks trying to fight this cold, and now she is suffering from an earache, not to mention the mom guilt trip comes and I again feel like a horrible mother! Since this is her third Ear infection the doctor recomended us take her to an ENT and most likely they will want to put tubes in hear!!!! of course as soon as I heard that I started to panic, since I had no idea what this meant, I mean I have heard of this before (my husband got this done when he was younger) but to know that my little baby might have to get tubes in her ears and be put under just makes me cry! We still have to wait and see what the ENT doctor says so we dont know for a fact, but I still worry that this will be the path that they'll want to take in order for her to be better:( ..I will come back with updates after our visit to the ENT.
Anyway on to some 8 months updates
although she has been under the weather, she is still a very happy baby! she is always smiling and growing up soo fast(I know I say this every month, but she really is!) she is now standing on her own for about 20 seconds. She has learned to go up one stair, so those baby gates have to be up at all times now. She has two teeth! the botton center one and the one on top just came in the other day. she loves to crawl or stand all the time, she no longer likes to sit still, she is all over the place!
She is weighing about 17 lbs.She is eating solids three times a day and breasfeeding/ formula feeding about 3 or 4 times a day.

1. Im a chocoholic!! I really love chocolate, which is totally not good when your trying to loose weight, so I just always get my fix from those 100 calorie packs (anything with chocolate)
2. My sister and I are not even a month apart!(how could that happen?) well she is my step-sister, but we are so close and we are BFF'S.And now our kids are 10 weeks apart.
3. I was born in Lima- Peru, Im a little bit of a mut but I consider myself 100 percent hispanic.
4. I have a horrible habit of cracking my nuckles all the time.. I hate it! but I cant stop doing it.
5. Im TERRIFIED of lizards.. I used to live in FL and they were everywhere!
6. I went to middle and high school with my husband, but we didnt start dating until after high school
7. I love the beach but hate the Ocean..doesnt really make sense, I know, but I almost drowned when I was younger in the Outer Banks, so not a big fan of it.
8. My blackberry seems to be stuck to my hip all the time, my husband hates this little addiction, but I cant really function without my phone.
9.Im almost never in time, I hate this about myself! I try so hard but I somehow always seem to get places just in time or a couple of minutes late.. ( I need to fix that!)
10.I looove interior designing/decorating
Now 5 Things I DO NOT LIKE
1. I HATE/ LOVE the fact that I cant go to Target and get just what I went there for, I always ened up with so much more stuff at the end!
2.I hate rude people with rude comments.. "if you dont have anything nice to say than dont say anything at all"...there is a big difference from honesty and being rude.
3.scary movies
4.I hate cold weather! I much rather be swealtering hot by a beach or pool
5.I hate having anxiety! which I get often because I worry about everything!
There you have it ! not the most inetersting facts, but oh well.. So now Im going to pass this along to 10 lovely ladies!

Sickies
Kayla has been sick AGAIN for the past week! she has had a really bad cough and a runny nose, which of course makes me feel like a horrible mom! I know kids get sick, and when someone at home gets sick another one is bound to get the same bug (its a vicious cycle,but I guess as a mom your always going to blame yourself and feel guilty.
Being under the weather has also made her loose her appetite and she has not really been wanting to drink milk from the bottle(I still nurse her in the mornings and at night), so being at work sitting behind the computer while knowing that my baby has barely drank any milk and is waiting for mommy to get home because at this point the only way to get her to eat is from me nursing her (I guess is the comfort) hasnt helped me feel any better.
On Thursday after work as I was driving to my mom's to get Kayla, I started having a horrible headache and noticed that I was feeling warm, I ignored it since I had to get Kayla then get Austin. Well later that night after the kids were asleep I still felt very achy and sick, so I took my temp and what do you know, I had a temp of 101!! there's that vicious cycle again!!.
So now Kayla is feeling better but I have been sick all weekend!!

which has been no fun, luckily Justin and Austin have been really good about taking care of their girls.
On a not very sick note, Kayla has been standing on her own, for about 15-20 seconds which is the longest she's gone without holding onto anything.. Yay Kayla!!!
Oh and today is our niece Taylor's Birthday!!!

Weekend Recap..
Baseball season has started!! and this past weekend was Austin's opening ceremony as well as his first game. My little slugger did awsome! I just love baseball season, Austin gets really involved and I just love watching him play!

This weekend was also my cousin's baby shower, yes! another adition to the family! there are so many of us having kids; which is awsome because all of the cousins will be around the same age. The shower was hosted by me and my aunt and it turned out great! I brought miss K. along and she had a great time, she was so happy and overwhlemed with everyone that my little missy skipped her nap! Luckily instead of getting cranky she just got a little delirious
