The holidays and Austin's birthday

I know Im a little late posting about the holidays, but I feel like its always a very busy time for me, specially since Austin's birthday is right after the new year. We had a great time over the holiday break, baking, making gingerbread houses and specially spending downtime with the family. We spent christmas eve with Justin's parents and christmas with my family, since both of our parents are local we used to go to both parents house on both days, but after having Kayla we decided to split it;  we literally used to have four christmases!! Hope everyone had a fantastic christmas and a wonderful New Year!

On January 4th my baby turned 9!!! I really have to think twice when I have to tell someone his age because I still cannot believe  he is 9, I know everyone says this but time really flies when you have kids!

Heavy Heart

My heart has been very heavy since Friday, I heard the news right before I went to Austin's school to help out with their class christmas party, and once I got there all I  could think of was those kids, sitting in their classroom just like all the kids in my son's class, and how their poor little souls had to suffer and go through what they went through and be victims of this horrible crime.



I know we are all holding our loved ones closer because of this I just couldn't imagine what the families involved in this city are going through. My heart and prayers go out to everyone in the Newton Community.

Oh christmas tree- link party!

I'm linking over at honey we're home  for this post! Today everyone is showing their Xmas tree!

We actually have two at our house, one is for the kids with all of their ornaments, we like to get one for each kid every year, that way when they get older they can keep their ornament and decorate with
their own family.

The other one is the family tree, and that one is pretty much the tree we hang our pretty ornaments, usually I like to change the colors around every year, so this year we went with green, silver and gold
